Barcelona International Women\u2019s Film Festival<\/strong> started in June 1993 with the aim of promoting films directed by women and giving visibility to women\u2019s audiovisual culture. Thus, the festival has projected the filmographies of women from all over the world, highlighting the importance of women\u2019s contribution to the development of audiovisual creation.<\/p>\n

After nearly three decades of activity, the festival has become a stable cultural space and an alternative exhibition platform that each day is more committed with the debate about the creative processes.<\/p>\n

In the last few years the Barcelona International Women\u2019s Film Festival has focused its attention in new action lines: La Mostra distribucions <\/em>has become the distributor of many of the films that had been projected during the festival days and La Mostra edicions<\/em> begins a new editorial space designed to host publications in various formats that aim to continue the knowledge circuit generated during the festival days.<\/p>\n

The Barcelona International Women\u2019s Film Festival is co-founder and takes part in TRAMA<\/a> (Coordinator of women-directed video, cinema and media festivals and exhibitions of Spain) and CFF Catalunya Film Festivals<\/a>. In 1997 The Women\u2019s international film festival creates One minute\u2019s video<\/em><\/strong><\/a>, a collective piece that invites women from all over the world to register different aspects of their reality. Nowadays, One minute\u2019s video<\/em><\/strong> is organized by TRAMA.<\/p>\n
