Frances Reid, Elisabeth Stevens i Cathy Zheutlin son las fundadores de Iris Films, colectivo feminista que nace en 1975 para realizar el film In the Best Interest of the Children, un documental pionero sobre las custodias de madres lesbianas en los Estados Unidos durante la d\u00e9cada de los a\u00f1os setenta del siglo pasado. Esta productora les brind\u00f3 la oportunidad de formarse como cineastas en diferentes roles y t\u00e9cnicas, puesto que realizaban sus pel\u00edculas rotando sus funciones.<\/p>\n

Iris Films sigue activa, aunque de las tres s\u00f3lo Frances Reid sigue estando formalmente vinculada a d\u00eda de hoy.<\/p>\n
