Naci\u00f3 en 1974 en el pueblo de Cieneguilla del municipio de San Juan Quiahije, en Oaxaca. Estudi\u00f3 la licenciatura en Artes Liberales en el colegio estatal Evergreen, en Olympia (Washington), y el Master en Bellas Artes del Departamento de Cine, Televisi\u00f3n y Medios Digitales de la Universidad de California en Los \u00c1ngeles. Los temas constantes de su trabajo son el arte, las lenguas ind\u00edgenas y la migraci\u00f3n. Su obra m\u00e1s reciente\u00a0Hope, Soledad <\/i>fue parte del 19\u00b0\u00a0Festival Internacional de Cine de Morelia\u00a0<\/span>(FICM). Otros trabajos incluyen\u00a0Sue\u00f1os Binacionales\u00a0<\/i>(2005);\u00a0Reencuentros: entre la memoria y la nostalgia\u00a0<\/i>(2008);\u00a0Guenati\u2019za: Los que vienen de visita\u00a0<\/i>(2003),\u00a0Entre sue\u00f1os\u00a0<\/i>(2000),\u00a0Reencuentros: 2501 migrantes\u00a0<\/i>(2009),\u00a0Echo Bear\u00a0<\/i>(2012) y\u00a0El Reloj\u00a0<\/i>(2013). Su cortometraje de ficci\u00f3n\u00a0Las lecciones de Silveria\u00a0<\/i>(2014) form\u00f3 parte de la Selecci\u00f3n Oficial del 12\u00ba FICM.<\/p>\n
